Campus Safety Guidelines

At Sacred Heart Academy, every student plays an important role in creating a safe, respectful, and welcoming campus. Please follow these guidelines to help keep our school community secure.

  1. Wear Your School ID. Keep it visible on campus, never lend it, and report a lost or stolen ID immediately.
  2. Use Designated Entrances. Never open secured doors for unknown individuals; visitors must check in through the main office.
  3. Respect Campus Rules. Follow school policies, stay in authorized areas, and avoid restricted or maintenance areas.
  4. Report Safety Concerns. Inform a teacher, administrator, counselor, or security staff immediately about anything unusual.
  5. Keep Walkways Safe. Walk, don't run, and keep backpacks out of walkways.
  6. Practice Digital Safety. Protect your passwords, be respectful online, and report cyberbullying.
  7. Be Prepared for Emergencies. Learn evacuation routes and take drills seriously.
  8. Protect Personal Belongings. Keep valuables secured and label your items.
  9. Use Parking Lots Safely. Follow signage and use crosswalks.
  10. Stay With Friends. Travel with classmates and tell a trusted adult if you feel unsafe.
  11. Respect Others. Bullying, harassment, and violence are not tolerated.
  12. Help Keep Campus Clean. Dispose of trash properly and report hazards.
  13. Health and Wellness. Stay home if ill and report medical emergencies immediately.
  14. Know Emergency Contacts. Save school numbers and know where the nurse, counseling, and main office are located.

Remember: safety is everyone's responsibility. If you see something, say something.

Student Campus Attendance Policy

At Sacred Heart Academy, the safety and well-being of every student is a shared responsibility. To provide a secure, caring, and focused learning environment, students are expected to remain on campus throughout the entire school day unless officially authorized to leave.

Campus Expectations

  • Remain on campus from arrival until dismissal.
  • Attend all scheduled classes, assemblies, Masses, and school-sponsored activities unless excused.
  • Follow sign-in and sign-out procedures through the main office.
  • Obtain school and parent/guardian authorization before leaving campus.
  • Sign back in at the main office before rejoining class after an approved absence.

Unauthorized Departure

Students who leave campus without administrative approval are considered to have left without authorization, which may result in disciplinary consequences per the Student Handbook.

School-Sponsored Activities

Students may leave campus for approved educational activities, athletic competitions, service projects, retreats, and field trips under faculty supervision.

"Together, we create a campus where every student is known, valued, protected, and empowered to succeed."
